IPOH: Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim denied the viral claim that the coalition would form a new collaboration with Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Anwar insisted that the allegation was a fraud and was carried out by the opposing party which is now desperate to win votes.
“First I was infected with Datuk Seri Zahid (President of Barisan Nasional, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi), now PN.
“These are all scams brought by people who feel they will lose if the competition is fair,” he said when he met the players after a friendly football match at Padang Halaman Meru Permai here today.
Earlier, a document titled ‘Harapan Alliance Agreement’ was circulated on social media which was claimed to be implemented if no party obtained a majority to form a government in the 15th General Election (GE15).
The main objective of the agreement is to prevent BN from returning to power and leading Putrajaya as well as preventing the formation of a BN government with the Sarawak Coalition Party (GPS) and the Sarawak Coalition Party (GPS).
According to Anwar who is also a candidate for the Tambun parliamentary seat, the public is asked not to be influenced by the allegations and to refer to authentic sources.
“I advise my friends, voters and Malaysians, in these few hours, many more defamations will be released. This shows that these people are morally bankrupt and desperate.
“Research first and don’t believe it, refer to authentic sources like we learn hadith,” he said.
Meanwhile, Anwar who is also PKR President is also optimistic that PH can win GE15 with a simple majority without joining any party.
According to him, PH wants to change the country’s political landscape by rejecting corruption, abuse of power and racism. – MESSENGER
