Anwar’s face is not bright, there is no capital – Muhyiddin

MUAR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin described PKR President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as having no capital as he continued to challenge him to reveal the party’s account statements during the 15th General Election (GE15).

The President of Bersatu insisted that his side was never exempt from presenting the statement annually as required by the Organization Registration Department (RoS) and it can also be accessed by anyone.

“We must obey the law, every party must have a general assembly which, among other things, is to present the annual statement. It can be seen by anyone because it is already audited. But I don’t know if PKR doesn’t audit, I audit the expenses, one cent, two cents, RM100, RM200.

“So, I think why does Anwar want to challenge such a question to become an issue? He has no other capital? How we are doing this is not correct and not organized, it has already been sent to the RoS, so far today there is no statement from the RoS saying that the annual report of my party is not valid, it is there you can see,” he said after attending the Friendly Meeting with the residents of Kampung Jawa. Lenga, here today.

Earlier, Anwar expressed his willingness to disclose his party’s account statement, provided Muhyiddin does the same.

It follows Muhyiddin’s challenge to Anwar, for the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman to show his party’s financial statements, after accusing PN of being the richest political party at the moment.

Asked about PH’s repeated attacks on PN in recent times, Muhyiddin who is also the Pagoh parliamentary seat holder said Anwar may have wavered with voter support for their party coalition.

“I know Anwar is worried enough. His face is not bright now, just sad. Maybe he wants to be PM, who knows. For me, this is a matter of competition in a democratic system, some people like it and some people don’t like it, that’s normal. Anwar said I am the father of the Movement Control Order (MCO), does he understand the MCO problem? Try Anwar to think that if this country during Covid-19 I didn’t do MCO, what would happen?

“He should be thankful that he is still alive, his children, his wife are alive, everything is healthy. But if you want to question I said that father, this father, it’s okay. Maybe he is already depressed when he sees the latest trend towards the PN of young people and the public.

“When I saw why Anwar went to Bagan Datuk (Tuesday) where he knew he was facing Zahid Hamidi (UMNO President), he didn’t even touch (attack Zahid). So, what is the view of half of the parties as if there is a form of understanding or cooperation,” he said. – MESSENGER
