IPOH: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Perak has denied claims in a viral message that the party will leave Perikatan Nasional (PN) if the Menteri Besar is appointed from PAS.
Bersatu Perak secretary, Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin said the allegations of PN state assembly members (ADUN) vying for the post of Menteri Besar were malicious and an attempt to undermine the party’s credibility.
According to him, none of the Bersatu assemblymen issued statements like that which was alleged and went viral.
“All PN assemblymen have never fought over the determination of the Menteri Besar’s seat, in fact every decision is made in consultation.
“I myself have never lost the position of Menteri Besar, we ourselves obey the Central leadership in whatever has been decided.
“In fact, during the meeting with Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah during the day, Tuanku expressed his congratulations on winning many seats to me and Perak Pas Commissioner, Razman Zakaria.
“Your Majesty also advised us to be representatives of the people who show a good attitude without causing a commotion,” he said in a statement here.
