SEREMBAN: Deputy Chairman of Barisan Nasional (BN), Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan is of the view that Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) should join forces and form a government.
That matter, he said, took into account that both parties got a higher number of votes.
He said that BN, which was rejected by the people, was ready to be the opposition responsible for carrying out the checks and balances of the new government.
“We BN accept the decision of the people who reject BN, so we do not have the power to establish a government.
“I suggest that PN and PH join the government because they get a higher number of votes.
“BN is ready to be the opposition responsible for the ‘check and balance’ of the new government,” he said in a statement today.
However, Mohamad made it clear that if BN’s help is needed during the transition period after the general election, the party remains ready to contribute to the opening of sincere and open discussions.
“If the government still can’t get it, please don’t blame us. This is the result of a democratic process, to return the mandate to the people.
“We just respect the decision. May Malaysia always be in the care of Allah SWT.” he said. – MESSENGER
