PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission (EC) has set the nomination day for the 15th General Election (GE15) for the Padang Serai Parliament and the Tioman State Legislative Assembly on November 24.

EC Secretary Ikmalrudin Ishak said in a statement that the nomination center will be open from 9 am to 10 am for the submission of nomination papers.

According to him, the center for the Padang Serai parliamentary seat is at the Kulim Hi-Tech Sports Complex Hall, Kulim, Kedah, while for the Tioman State Assembly, at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Rompin Perak Jubilee Hall, Pahang.

“Candidates who have been validly named on November 5 are also required to attend the center for the purpose of the draw of votes to determine the order of names on the ballot paper,” he said.

The EC previously set the GE15 voting for the Padang Serai Parliamentary seat and the Tioman State Assembly to be postponed to December 7

This follows the death of Pakatan Harapan (PH) Padang Serai Parliamentary candidate M. Karupaiya and National Alliance (PN) candidate, DUN Tioman Md. Yunus Ramli. – MESSENGER
