KOTA BHARU: Deputy Chief Minister of Kelantan, Datuk Mohd. Amar Nik Abdullah confirmed that there was no discussion regarding the dissolution of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) by the government to make way for the State Election (PRN).
Speak to Utusan Malaysia, Mohd. Amar said, this is because the government has until May to do so.
“So far, we have not made any discussion on the matter (dissolution of the State Assembly),” he said here today.
Kelantan is among the states that made a decision not to dissolve the State Assembly simultaneously with the Parliament to make way for the General Election (PRU).
The decision is in line with the decision made by the PAS leadership not to dissolve the Kedah and Terengganu state assemblies.
At the same time, Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan under the administration of Pakatan Harapan (PH) also decided not to dissolve their respective state assemblies.
In the last GE15, Pas created a surprise when it swept 14 parliamentary seats in the state. – MESSENGER
