KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Nad Zainal is suspected of suffering from an autoimmune disease and needs to be treated with high-dose steroid injections.
The matter was informed by the actor, Ungku Ismail who received confirmation from the doctor about the latest condition of the actor who is still being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a medical center in Ampang, near here.
“The doctor informed that they have not been able to identify the cause of the continuous bleeding in Nad’s lungs.
“The doctor could not confirm whether the bleeding was caused by another bacterial infection since there were no other symptoms,” he said when met this afternoon.
The Blind Chinese drama actor was admitted to the ICU two days ago after complaining of feeling unwell while filming his latest drama.
Nad was diagnosed with a lung infection and was in a critical condition so he had to be put to sleep.
Meanwhile, the famous director, Shahrulezad, who was also in the hospital, asked everyone to pray for the actor’s recovery from the infection he suffered.
“I was informed that the bleeding in his lungs continued to occur and the doctor had to struggle to remove the pooled blood.
“Family members have been informed about Nad’s condition and they are also in the hospital.
“At the same time, many art activists and Nad’s close acquaintances also gathered at the hospital to learn about the progress and provide support.
“For now, we are hoping for a miracle to happen and together we are praying that he recovers quickly,” he said.
Besides, Ungku and Shahrulezad, among the artist friends seen at the hospital include Sharifah Amani, Nadiya Nisaa, Nabila Huda, Nadia Aqilah, Bella Astilah and her husband, Aliff Aziz and many others.
Also seen was the actor’s ex-husband, Faliq Amiruddin who was accompanied by his two children, Budi Kalsom and Fahad Ibrahim.
