Reforms in BN, the government after GE15 – Ahmad Zahid

BAGAN DATUK: Barisan Nasional (BN) will do reformation in the party and government after the 15th General Election (GE15) to bring the country and the people forward.

Its chairman, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, asserted that the party is ready to open a new chapter, by making better policies and strengthening development.

At the same time, he explained, BN promised to make progressive changes in the next few months.

“We are open to all criticism and ready to receive views from the people,” he said in a special message in conjunction with GE15 Voting Day at Bagan Datuk Waterfront here, tonight.

According to him, BN’s record of service over the years has proven that its leadership has always remained loyal and has always been in the middle of the community whether in difficult times or in good times, thus proving that they are very close to the pulse of the people.

He informed that most of the BN leaders are not elitist but instead consist of various leadership backgrounds, are more friendly and easy to be accompanied by the people.

He said, BN leadership does not only appear every five years but the hard work of the people regardless of the time and season, always gets a touch from them.

“Therefore, this election is an opportunity for all the people to join hands and unite in saving this country and not experiment with those who have no legacy of nation building records.

“Many people really miss the glory of BN that they had witnessed before. The glory of national development, economic revitalization that contributes to the well-being of the people,” he said.

According to him, the 22-month experience of the Paatan Harapan (PH) government shows that a popular leader alone is not enough if he is not supported by the Cabinet, who have experience and a party that is supported by the grassroots.

Understandably, BN is a party that celebrates various views but is still based on collective decisions.

According to him, the party holds the same goal, which is that the needs of the people must come first despite differences of opinion.

“We have a leadership line and are experienced in handling the country in good and bad conditions,” he said. – MESSENGER
