“We also offer a set menu which is set A, a grilled sea bream, a choice of soup, red meat, chicken cooked in soy sauce, vegetable lemak, ulam budu, sira sira and four plates of rice at an affordable price of RM50.
“The cheapest set D is puffer fish or turmeric-baked selar, vegetable lemak, ulam budu, side dishes based on chicken or meat with two plates of rice at the price of RM20,” he said when met Malaysian Weekly at the restaurant, recently.
According to Mohamad Fakrul Arif, the two branches in Putrajaya are food courts that become ‘homesick cures’ for Kelantan nomads to enjoy the cuisine from Cik Siti Wan Kembang’s state.
According to him, the branch in Pasir Puteh is operated by three cooks, two assistants and seven general workers.
“We also prepare pumpkin soup, rice snail vegetables, 15 different vegetable dishes, various kerabu, grilled stingray, talapia, sea bream, cencaru and selar which are in high demand.
“The food is ready to be served on a special table, visitors only need to choose what type of side dish they want to enjoy,” he said.
According to him, Mok Cik Nab’s Gourmet Grilled Fish Aroma Restaurant is also like a Malaysian Family food court because it is visited by various nationalities including foreign tourists.
Mohamad Fakhrul Arif said that the restaurant, which has a self-service concept, is also a stopping point for visitors from Pahang and Terengganu because its location is located on the main road of Pasir Puteh town.
“Every week we receive tourists who board buses from the West and South Coasts who stop to eat before they leave for the duty-free areas of Pengkalan Kubur and Rantau Panjang,” he explained.
